Mr. Sorkin claims the sanctity of contracts, in his suggestion [or is it defense] of A.I.G. principles receiving their bonuses - how so if they behaved with
criminal disregard in the work they did, turning their firm into a house of cards whose demise, so it is claimed, might bring down the entire financial system. If any one of them committed fraud during their investment schemes - something we do not know, but the possibility certainly exists - the bonuses might be put into escrow!

It ought to be possible to arrest each and everyone of them under the over-all law that their actions endangered and may continue to endanger sacrosanct
"National Security" - a law with which were done and you can continue to do no end of things after all! -- and which might be used to real effect, imaginatively, if the Obama administration wanted to do more than posture for the sake of the populist outrage; make the A.I.G. folks [and all the other "Bonusseess"] post many million dollars worth of bail! This ain't gonna happen, and all the outrage is just for show since Obama and his economic team are the same people who set the switches for de-regulation and became wealthy [e.g. Rahm Emmanuel] from the world of wild west capitalism; are the very people who funded his election, and are working like crazy to keep it like that, with but a few tweaks here and there.
